How our jewelry is made

Every design in the catalogue goes through the same core manufacturing stages before it ships as a finished, plated piece. This is the general process used across sterling silver casting workshops, and it is how our pieces are produced.

1. Design and mould

Each design starts as a wax model or CAD file, which is used to produce a mould. For an existing catalogue design, the mould already exists; for a variation in size or stone layout, the mould is adjusted before casting.

2. Casting

925 sterling silver is melted and cast into the mould, producing the raw piece — often several pieces per casting tree, depending on size. At this stage the metal is still rough and needs the excess sprue and flash removed.

3. Cleaning and assembly

The cast piece is cleaned of casting residue, and any components — jump rings, clasps, chains, bails — are assembled onto the main piece.

4. Stone setting

Where a design calls for cubic zirconia or other stones, they are set by hand using prong, pavé, or bezel settings depending on the design. This step happens before plating so the plating covers the setting metal evenly.

5. Polishing

The piece is polished to remove tool marks and bring up the surface finish the plating will sit on. A clean, even polish underneath is part of what makes a plated finish look consistent.

6. Plating

7. Quality check

Finished pieces are checked before packing — weight against the listed average for that SKU, plating colour consistency, and that stones and clasps are secure.

8. Packing

Pieces are packed individually and protected for transit before the order is consolidated and handed to the courier.

Plating to your specification

Plating is one of the few production steps a wholesale buyer should ask about directly, because it drives both the look and the resale price of a piece. We offer:

• 14K gold plating — the standard warm gold finish for retail sterling silver jewelry.
• Rhodium plating — a bright white finish, also used over sterling silver to reduce tarnish and give a platinum-like look.

We don't hold finished stock in a single plating and hope it matches what a buyer wants. Instead, each order is manufactured after it's placed, in the plating and micron the buyer chooses, with a minimum order quantity of 5 pieces per style. Lead time is confirmed at the time of ordering rather than fixed in advance, because it depends on the mix of styles, stone setting, and plating in that specific order.

For a retailer, this has a practical upside: you're not buying into a plating you can't sell. A boutique that sells mostly rhodium/white pieces doesn't end up with yellow-gold stock it has to discount, and a store testing rose gold for the first time can put it on a handful of styles rather than committing across a full range. What's the minimum order to open a trade account?

There's no separate minimum to open an account — approval is based on being a registered business buying for resale. Once you're placing orders, the minimum is 5 pieces per style, and the cart shows the minimum order value.

Can I mix plating types and micron thicknesses in one order?

Yes. Plating and micron are selected per style within an order, so you can put rhodium on some SKUs and 14K gold on others in the same order.

Do you sell to individual customers?

No. Sales are wholesale only, to boutiques, jewelers, retail stores, distributors, and online sellers with a registered business. Apply through trade application.

How long does an order take from confirmation to shipping?
