Wholesale Silver Jewelry FAQ

Ruvolla sells 925 sterling silver jewelry wholesale, made to order, from Kuyumcukent, Istanbul. This page answers the questions we're asked most often about trade accounts, ordering, plating, production, payment, and shipping. If your question isn't covered here, email help@ruvolla.com or message us on WhatsApp at +90 545 181 53 53.

Trade account & prices

Who can open a trade account with Ruvolla?

Trade accounts are for registered businesses buying for resale — boutiques, independent jewelers, retail stores, distributors, and Etsy or Shopify sellers. We don't sell to individual consumers. Apply at trade application.

How do I see your prices?

Prices are only visible to approved trade accounts. Apply at trade application; once approved, full pricing, SKU, average weight, and plating options appear on every product page.

How long does trade account approval take?

We review applications as they come in and confirm by email once a decision is made. If you haven't heard back and need to move quickly, email help@ruvolla.com with your application details.

Is pricing in USD or EUR?

Pricing is set in USD as the base currency, with EUR shown for reference. Invoicing currency is confirmed on your proforma before payment.

Ordering & MOQ

What is MOQ in wholesale jewelry, and what's yours?

MOQ (minimum order quantity) is the smallest amount of one design a supplier will produce per order. Ours is 5 pieces per style — you can order 5 of one SKU and 5 of a completely different SKU in the same order, but each individual SKU needs to reach 5.

Is there a minimum order value as well as a per-style minimum?

Yes, in addition to the 5-per-style minimum, there's a minimum total order value, which is shown in your cart once you're building an order as an approved trade account.

Can I mix different categories in one order?

Yes. There's no requirement to order within one category — you can combine bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and rings in a single order, as long as each SKU meets the 5-piece minimum.

How do I place an order once I have an approved account?

Browse the catalogue, add your chosen SKUs with plating and micron selected per style, and submit the order request. You'll then receive a proforma invoice confirming the order, lead time, and payment terms before production starts.

Plating & quality

What plating options do you offer?

14K gold, rhodium, and rose gold, each available at 0.10, 0.20, 0.25, 1.00, 2.00, or 2.50 micron, selected per order. See our full plating and quality guide.

What micron thickness should I choose?

Thinner micron (0.10–0.25) suits lower price points and fashion pieces with faster turnover; thicker micron (1.00–2.50) suits higher price points and pieces that see more daily friction, like rings and bracelets. Full guidance is on our plating and quality page.

Is your jewelry solid 925 sterling silver?

Yes, every piece is 925 sterling silver (92.5% silver) as the base metal, with plating applied over that base in the finish and micron you select.

Do you check quality before shipping?

Yes — before packing, we check weight against the SKU's listed average, stone setting security, plating colour consistency across the order, and overall polish and finish.

Can I mix plating types within the same order?

Yes. Plating and micron are chosen per style, so you can put rhodium on some SKUs and 14K gold or rose gold on others within one order.

Production & lead time

How long does production take?

Because every order is made to order, lead time depends on the styles, quantities, stone setting, and plating in your specific order. We confirm the exact lead time on your proforma invoice rather than advertising a fixed number of days.

Do you hold finished stock I can order without waiting for production?

No. We manufacture made to order rather than holding finished stock in fixed platings, so every order goes through production after it's confirmed.

What happens after I confirm payment?

Production starts once payment is confirmed on your proforma. Your order then moves through casting, stone setting, plating, quality check, and packing before it ships.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

New accounts pay upfront by bank transfer (USD or EUR) or card. Established accounts with an ordering history may be offered payment terms.

When do I pay — before or after production?

You pay after receiving and confirming your proforma invoice, and before production starts. No payment is taken when you first submit an order request.

Can I get payment terms as a new customer?

New accounts typically pay upfront. Payment terms are generally available to accounts with an established ordering history — ask us directly once you've placed a few orders.

Shipping & customs

How do you ship orders?

Orders ship EXW Istanbul or DAP, using DHL Express or UPS, with international transit typically taking 3–7 business days on top of production time. Full detail is on our shipping page.

Do I pay import duty on jewelry from Turkey?

Yes — under both EXW and DAP, you're the importer of record and are responsible for import duties and VAT in your own country. Rates depend on the product's tariff code and destination, so we can't quote a flat rate; your customs broker or courier can confirm the exact figure.

What's the difference between EXW and DAP?

EXW means you arrange and pay for freight from Istanbul yourself; DAP means we arrange freight to your address, though you still handle import duties and VAT on arrival either way. See shipping for more detail.

How do I import jewelry from Turkey to the UK, US, or EU?

You'll need a customs broker or your courier's brokerage service to clear the shipment, declare the correct tariff code, and calculate duties and VAT for your country. DHL Express and UPS both offer brokerage as part of their international service.

Can I track my order once it ships?

Yes, tracking is provided once your order is handed to DHL Express or UPS.

Products & catalogue

How many designs are in your catalogue?

Around 2,400 designs across bracelets, earrings, necklaces, pendants, rings, charms, anklets, bangles, chains, and jewelry sets. Browse the full range at all products.

Which motif range is the largest?

Evil eye (nazar) designs are our largest motif range across bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and anklets. See wholesale evil eye jewelry.

How do I price wholesale jewelry for retail?

That depends on your market and margin targets, but most retailers apply a multiple to landed cost (product cost plus shipping and duties) rather than to the wholesale price alone, since duties and freight add real cost per piece. Factor in your chosen plating and micron, since both affect landed cost per SKU.
